Work out when you want to end your line. If you finish working at 2pm, and you know you can paint 15 children in an hour, then you know you need to end your line at 1.30pm. 

1. End of Line Vest

Consider using an "End of Line" vest or shirt to clearly designate the end of the line. This will help people understand where the line ends and prevent confusion or frustration. Make sure the vest is easily visible and stands out from the crowd.

2. End of Line Sign

In addition to the vest, you can also use a sign that says "End of Line" to further clarify where the line ends. This will provide a visual cue for people waiting and help them understand the order in which they will be served. Place the sign in a visible location near the end of the line.

3. Use a helper

A helper doesn't have to be someone you know. Your client, a parent, or perhaps security can assist in ensuring no one else lines up after you call the end. Make sure they are authoriative enough to be able to politely turn people away. 

4. Number System

Implementing a number system can be an effective way to manage the line and ensure fairness. Give each person in line a numbered ticket or wristband, and call out the numbers when it's their turn to be painted. This system helps maintain order and prevents people from cutting in line.

5. Booking Sessions Online

If you have the resources, consider offering the option for people to book face painting sessions online in advance. This allows attendees to secure a specific time slot and eliminates the need for a physical line. It also helps you better manage your time and resources, ensuring a smoother experience for everyone.
